“GYP Volunteer Award”

“GYP Volunteer Award” was established by Global Youth Philanthropy-Boston, which has been certifying the organization for the “President’s Volunteer Service Award” in the USA since February 2021.

There are two purposes to launching the “GYP Volunteer Award.”

1), To honor many students volunteers worldwide who help others and or their communities through GYP activities but  are not able to apply for PVSA;

2), To honor very outstanding student volunteers worldwide, including in the USA, by establishing a new level of Award of “GYP Volunteer Award- Platinum.

The phrase of “GYP Volunteer Award” and its logo were registered as a protected trademark in the State of Massachusetts in January 2023.

There are four levels of the “GYP Volunteer Award”:  Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

The policies of the “GYP Volunteer Award” are managed by GYP Students’ Parents’ Board.

The Mentor’s Committee is responsible for quality control and administration of the “GYP Volunteer Award.”

Dr. Jiaojiao Li

Jiaojiao Li, Ph.D., majored in business management, has served as an associate professor and postgraduate tutor at the business school of Southwest University Politics&Law in Chongqing; their primary research interests lie in the fields of accounting, finance, and auditing. I have published more than 30 academic articles in professional Journals and hosted or participated in almost ten scientific research projects. I have published almost ten academic monographs. I am a Senior Accountant in China and CMA of the USA, and a member of the Chinese Audit association and IMA of the USA.

Dr. Handan Liu

Associate Professor of Computer Engineering and Data Science in Northeastern University in Boston, MA 02115. Her teaching and research fields include High-performance parallel computing, General machine learning, Graph Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, and AI.

Mr. Guanfeng Yang

Guanfeng Yang, aged 45, is currently working as an English language lecturer at the School for International Studies and a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Middle East Studies at the School for History and Civilization at Shaanxi Normal University. His expertise and research interests cover Chinese culture in English and Turkish political and historical studies.

Dr. Xueli Zou

Dr. Xueli Zou is a professor in the Department of Physics at California State University, Chico (CSUC). She served as department chair from 2015-2018. She is a well-established scholar in physics education research and specializes in innovative instruction, curriculum development, and student learning outcome assessment. She is one of the original three professors who proposed, developed, and tested the Investigative Science Learning Environment (ISLE) in 2000 with the NSF’s support. She has been well documented and cited as the first pioneer who developed and introduced student design experiments for introductory-level physics courses. Currently, the ISLE approach and student design experiments have been proven as among the best practices in physics instruction and have been widely adopted in the U.S. and some other countries as well. She has also been actively involved in the K-12 science education programs and once served as the Science Director of the Center for Mathematics and Science Education at CSUC.

How to apply for “GYP Volunteer Award”:

1), Must be a student in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college-universities.

2), Must participate in volunteering activities in Global Youth Philanthropy-Boston for at least six months before receiving the awards.

3) volunteering hours and activities must be verified and guided by GYP mentors every three months.
