Student Leaders of this project:

Co-Founder & Co-President: Cici Xichen Yao

Hello! My name is Cici, and I’m 13 years old and in 8th grade at Captain Nichola Goddard School in Calgary, Alberta. I love animation, drawing dragons, debating, and volunteering. I also have my own YouTube and TikTok accounts, where I create gaming content! Recently, my friends and I started a volunteer club called GYP Together for Help, which is focused on supporting underprivileged groups in our community. We’d love more kids to join us to make a positive difference. If you enjoy helping others, we’d be thrilled to welcome you to our club!

Co-Founder & Co-President: Ibo Aiyang Cheng

Ibo is an 8th-grade student from Calgary with a cheerful personality and diverse interests. She is always ready to help others. From a young age, she has been dedicated to the arts, excelling in singing, dancing, drawing, and playing the piano. She is also a cellist in her school orchestra. She demonstrates strong leadership skills—she was a team leader in her elementary school in China, where she organized many large school celebrations.

Kind-hearted by nature, Ibo dreams of contributing to the world and humanity and helping others achieve their dreams. Through GYP’s volunteer activities, she hopes to start realizing this vision and encourage more people to join in, working together to create a better world.

Co-Founder & Co-President:sident: Tommy (Zichen) Hu

My name is Zichen Hu, and I’m a grade 10 student at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in Canada. I’m excited to share my passion for making a positive impact through GYP’s volunteer activities.

This past April, I participated in the ECOSOCIETY YOUTH FORUM in New York, strengthening my problem-solving and collaboration skills. I also participated in a poster contest for World Food Day to raise awareness about poverty. Connecting with others who are committed to global issues is essential to me. I look forward to engaging with youth worldwide and tackling challenges like sustainable development, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
