In the summer of 2022, with the support of a few GYP students and parents, GYP launched a special fund called the “GYP Students Recognition Fund.”

What is the “GYP Students Recognition Fund”?
Under the guidance of parents’ advisors, students created and funded mini-Fund within GYP.
It is a platform for GYP students to learn to conduct meaningful giving. It is a tool for students to learn how to raise, manage and report the fund
Its Goals:
- To give awards, recognition to student volunteers, students’ philanthropy projects in GYP, that includes applying for student’s volunteer awards outside of GYP, small costs recognition, and awards within GYP
- To let students learn charity giving by doing
How to raise the fund?
1. directly encourage students and the parents in GYP to make small donations to this fund on a volunteering basis (not required)
2. use this fund as a learning tool to grow the fund by trying foundation matching
How do recognize donors and contributors?
Recognize student donors on the GYP website or issue direct certificate awards
How to manage and report the fund?
- This fund will be managed by a student’s team of at least 2
2. This fund will be used only to award and recognize GYP student volunteers and philanthropy projects and will be separated from GYP general operation funds and revenues.

4. Report to all related people each year
All parents and students are welcome to support our students volunteering and philanthropy projects by making small donations or even sponsoring events or particular groups of people.
