The Global Youth Philanthropy (GYP) Mental Health Working Group is a youth-led initiative devoted to promoting awareness, understanding, and action on mental health challenges faced by young people around the world. The WG seeks to collect, curate, and publish valuable mental health information and resources through the GYP website, newsletter, Instagram, and Facebook, helping to make mental well-being knowledge accessible to a global audience.
In addition to information sharing, the Working Group will connect with professional mental health experts to host interactive seminars, workshops, and online discussions that empower youth with knowledge and practical skills for emotional resilience. The WG also plans to design and test pilot projects aimed at supporting disadvantaged youth and families locally and globally—bridging community engagement with compassionate action.
GYP Mental Health Working Group is led by two dedicated student leaders:
Co-Chair, also GYP Students Board Memebr: Jianbang Liu (Edmond) from Lexington High School, Massachusetts, USA

The WG warmly welcomes students from middle schools, high schools, and colleges who are passionate about mental health advocacy to join the team. It also seeks to collaborate with student clubs, community organizations, and youth networks interested in promoting mental wellness and supporting humanitarian causes.
Together, the GYP Mental Health Working Group strives to build a compassionate global community where every young person feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
