Global Youth Philanthropy (GYP) is a youth-led nonprofit organization that empowers young people to take action on humanitarian issues through storytelling, research, and global collaboration. At the heart of our mission is the GYP Youth Humanitarian Film Festival — a global platform where young filmmakers spotlight urgent humanitarian challenges and inspire real-world change through documentary storytelling.
GYP registered in Massachusetts, USA, since March 2020. It holds 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status and serves as a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) across the United States.
Since late 2023, GYP has been actively involved in the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW), where it has hosted seminars and contributed to global discussions on humanitarian response in 2024 and 2025. The theme of GYP’s 2025 HNPW session was: “Empowering Youth in Humanitarian Action: Digital Innovation for Youth Engagement in Humanitarian Careers & Environmental Training.”
Youth Volunteering Awards for our students
GYP-Boston is a certifying organization for PVSA (President’s Volunteer Service Award ) since 2020. It also administers its own “GYP Volunteer Award” for students worldwide.
