The Earth Alchemist Club is an environmental protection and science popularization organization founded by students from the International Department of Beijing No. 2 High School. The club brings together students from different grades to discuss current environmental issues such as the Fukushima nuclear power plant’s discharge of contaminated water, the greenhouse effect, and the formation of various rocks. By integrating knowledge from chemistry, geology, biology, and other subjects, the club helps students understand the principles behind environmental issues. Based on these discussions, we organize club members to collaboratively create science communication videos or write articles for our public account, thereby expanding our impact and raising awareness about environmental issues and the scientific knowledge behind them. Additionally, the club periodically conducts interesting experiments in the lab, led by teachers or students.
